‘home is where the heart is’

Home is where the heart is’ explores the pursuit of land ownership, specifically homes. The project asks why we seem so preoccupied with attaining private land at the cost of relationships. In contrast with earlier humans lived communally and shared recourses, it seems as though people are retreating more and more into their own separate social bubbles. The project is in essence a thought experiment, illustrating how life, if we were to take the preoccupation with privacy to its absurd conclusion.

Someplace Else

"Someplace Else" is an abstract piece delving into the urban landscape, where a juxtaposition arises between a natural landscape and a human-engineered counterpart. The work highlights the tranquil enclaves within the metropolis, while also drawing attention to the often oppressive nature of the urban environment.

Reverie

"Reverie" invites the viewer to experience the nocturnal landscape of North-West England in a more contemplative and immersive way. Through a cinematic lens, the project highlights the ordinary beauty of the region and encourages the viewer to slow down and appreciate their surroundings. By hyper focusing on the everyday, "Reverie" reveals the often overlooked beauty that can be found in even the most unexpected places.
